FAT 32 File System Recovery

FAT 32 file system was introduced for the first time with Windows 95 operating system, and was later used in Windows 98, Windows 2000 Server and is sometimes made use of in Windows XP operating systems. Though FAT 32 file system was initially used widely in most of the Windows operating systems, it later lost its prominence, with the advent of New Technology File System, better known as NTFS.

The advanced features of the NTFS file system made it the preferred file system over FAT 32 file system. Despite the wide usage of NTFS file system in most of the PCs of this day, there are still some older PCs and laptops that make use of the FAT file system. The very fact that there is no crash recovery or security options in the FAT file system makes PCs running on FAT file system more prone to data loss.

Data loss can occur in a FAT 32 file system due to various reasons like accidental deletion of files and partitions, virus attacks, data loss during conversion from FAT file system to NTFS file system etc. Recovery of files from FAT 32 file system in case of data loss can be achieved using a good Windows data recovery software.

You can recover files from FAT partition using REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software. This software lets you recover FAT partition that has been deleted or lost with ease. The software also lets you recover lost/deleted data from NTFS partition, and lets you create a disk image of the entire hard drive for data recovery at a later stage.
