Recover deleted files after formatting a hard drive
A hard drive is prepared and made ready for use once formatting is completed. Once formatting is done the file system gets structured to either FAT or NTFS file systems based on the operating system you are going to use.
When the physical disks present in the hard drive are damaged, whatever information that is present on the affected portions of the hard drive would be either inaccessible or corrupted. These damaged sectors are called as bad sectors and reformatting could not be of much use in these cases.
Many people are of the false impression, that formatting results in permanent deletion of data. However, this is not the case. A reformat basically frees the hard drive of all its deleted data to receive new data, but if there is no new data being written onto the hard drive, then the old data will still be existent. Therefore, chances of getting back the data are pretty high.
To recover deleted files after format, it is recommended that you use REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software. This powerful data recovery software is capable of recovering lost/deleted data from both NTFS and FAT file systems. The software also lets you create a disk image of a given hard drive, which can later be used for recovery of data.
